Escape!

“She felt trapped, but she didn’t have to. The world is wide open and ready, waiting for us to escape this bubble and join it.”
― C.M

Do you ever at times feel like you just want to escape. Escape the doldrums of life and hit the road of expectations where all our desires are met and failure nothing but a distant murmur…

I have.

A lot of the time we get to this point because it’s life’s way of letting us know that we’re not on the right plane intended for our destination. Quite like how failure makes us stronger by giving us temporary set-backs that enable us to re-think and dig deep within ourselves to try again. Take J.K Rowling for example; Before she was published and had acclaimed success with her series of Harry Potter novels. She was penniless, depressed and raising her child on benefits. Nonetheless, her hard work, determination and grit paid off.

This doesn’t just have to be someone else’s story its time to make it your own.

The ultimate escape plan

Whilst going through this thought process it hit me after that I didn’t need to escape I just needed to create the life in which I didn’t wish to escape from. This meant switching off from all my social media platforms. Getting rid of my smartphone applications such as BBM and Whatsapp. Switching off the noise though I’m still struggling to switch off my TV completely an re-evaluating my life and working on the areas that needed improvement in order for me to get to that happy place I so wish for. Now I am not implying this is something that you can do overnight. It takes time, dedication and a commitment to make changes within your life that at times others may not like or question. But in the end it is all worth it.

Wake up

"Life has no remote, get up and change it yourself"

Today I want you to wake up and create the life you want. Time is of the essence and we only have one life to live. So ensure that you make it count!

We are the author of our lives and make the choices and decisions that have led us to the path that we are on today and as much as life does have its limitations it doesn’t signify that whatever is standing in our way is unchangeable.

  1. I’ve never thought about it like this before – I’ve thought the only option would be to get away but what you say makes sense 🙂
